What is DTF printing?
DTF (Direct to Film) printing is a heat-transfer method. Your design is printed in full colour onto a PET film, coated with an adhesive powder and cured. You then heat press the transfer onto the garment. The print is bright and stretchy, holds photographic detail, and doesn't need screens, cutting or weeding.
Unlike DTG (direct to garment) or sublimation, DTF isn't limited to white or polyester garments. It works on light and dark fabrics, including cotton, polyester, poly-cotton blends, nylon and more. That makes it the most flexible way to brand clothing in small or medium runs.

How to order DTF transfers online
- Choose your options. Pick how many sheets you need, then choose whether to print your file as supplied or build it with the free gang sheet builder.
- Select turnaround. Standard (3 working days), rush (next working day) or same day.
- Checkout. Delivery options and costs are calculated from your address.
- Upload your artwork. A secure upload link appears on your order confirmation and is emailed to you. Upload one 560 × 1000mm PNG or PDF.
- We print & dispatch. You get a tracking notification as soon as your transfers are on the way.
What fabrics can it be printed on?
It bonds to almost any fabric that can take a firm heat press at around 155–160 °C:
- 100% cotton t-shirts, hoodies and sweaters
- Polyester sportswear, team kits and golf shirts
- Poly-cotton and tri-blend garments
- Nylon and canvas (tote bags, jackets, caps, aprons)
- Light and dark garments, with no pre-treatment needed

Getting the file right is the fastest way to a perfect print. Please check every point before you upload:

How to apply DTF transfers
- Pre-press the garment for a few seconds to remove moisture and creases.
- Position the transfer print-side down on the garment.
- Press at about 155–160 °C with firm, even pressure. A heat press gives the best, most durable result, but a household iron works for one-off items.
- Peel the film and, for extra durability, re-press for a few seconds with a sheet of baking paper on top.
- Wash inside out in cold or warm water and avoid ironing directly on the print.

How much does DTF printing cost in South Africa?
Our transfers cost from R189 per 560mm × 1000mm gang sheet (one running metre), including VAT. Rush and same-day service cost extra, and delivery is calculated at checkout.
Is there a minimum order for DTF transfers?
No. You can order a single gang sheet, and there are no minimum quantities for resellers either.
How fast can I get my transfers?
Same-day orders placed by 11:30 (Monday to Friday) are ready by 16:00. Rush orders placed by 16:00 are ready the next working day. Standard orders take 3 working days.
What is a DTF gang sheet?
A gang sheet is one large print sheet with all your designs arranged together. You pay for the sheet, not per design, so filling it with logos, sizes and repeats keeps your cost per print low.
Can I apply the transfers with a household iron?
Yes, you can use an iron for one-off items. For consistent results and the best wash durability, we recommend a heat press at around 155–160 °C.
Does DTF work on cotton and dark shirts?
Yes. It works on cotton, polyester, blends and nylon in any garment colour. Unlike sublimation, it doesn't need white or polyester fabric.
Do you deliver outside Johannesburg?
