What Are UV DTF Stickers?
UV DTF (Ultraviolet Direct to Film) is a printing process where your design is printed onto a special film using UV-cured inks, then transferred directly onto a hard surface — no heat press, no special tools.
The result is a full-colour, slightly raised print that applied to the surface on an item.
What Surfaces Does It Work On?
UV DTF stickers adhere well to smooth, non-porous hard surfaces including:
- Glass and ceramic
- Metal and stainless steel
- Acrylic and perspex
- Hard plastic
- Coated wood
- Phone cases, mugs, tumblers, bottles and more
⚠ Not suitable for fabric, soft surfaces, or heavily textured surfaces.

Artwork Requirements
- PNG — transparent background, 300 DPI minimum
- Submit your sheet at 280mm x 1000mm
- Leave a 5 mm border around all edges — designs too close to the edge will get cut off when printed.
- Minimum line thickness is 2 mm — finer details will not print or transfer correctly.
- Use CMYK colour mode — convert text to outlines if submitting vector files
- Gradients or semi-transparent pixels will not print correctly — use solid colours only.
You can arrange multiple designs on a single sheet to maximise your print area.
How to Apply Your UV DTF Sticker
Wash with soap and water. Dry completely before applying. Do not use alcohol-based cleaners — they will damage the adhesive and resin.
Cut around your design, leaving a small border. Peel the backing film to expose the adhesive side.
Place the design onto the surface. Press firmly from the centre outward using your fingers or a squeegee for 20–30 seconds. Make sure all edges are fully bonded.
Slowly peel back the clear transfer film at a low angle. If any part lifts, press it back down and wait a few seconds before trying again.
Once the film is removed, press over the design once more with your fingers to ensure full adhesion. The bond strengthens fully within 24 hours.
Care & Limitations
- Clean applied stickers with soap and water only — no alcohol-based products
- Not dishwasher safe
- Apply once only — repositioning weakens the adhesive
- Use within one month of receiving your order for best adhesion
- Store flat, away from heat and direct sunlight
For best results, apply to smooth surfaces in a clean, dry environment at room temperature.
